The best place in Shrewsbury to buy new books. Small conpared to some other Waterstones store, nevertheless, it has a decent selection occupying two floors. Staff have always been friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely worth a visit.

Great place to get latest hard backs at good prices. Classic titles to. Good location. Gift ideas a plenty. Staff are approachable but usually very busy. You can order on line and pick up at your leisure.

Button & Bear Bookshop

28 Castle St, Shrewsbury SY1 2BQ, UK – 01743 341407

The kids just love this place. Perfect place for tea and cake whilst the little people play. Classes are reasonable and well run. Staff very friendly.

Visited a number of times now, and the staff and service are simply outstanding. More than happy to assist you in finding the right book - if it's not in stock, they'll order it in for you at no additional cost. Excellent tea and cakes, too. Can't comment on the coffee as I don't drink it, but it smells divine whenever I walk in! They can also host parties, and have a number of groups for parents/children to attend, as well as book signings etc. Highly recommend a visit to this hidden gem. A fresh, modern approach to the old book shops of my childhood! Love it!

Friendly lovely staff and great range of 2nd hand music and books upstairs. I make a special effort to go when ever I go to Shrewsbury

Always an absolute must for us. The second hand books upstairs well worth browsing while music and new books, cards and ideal presents downstairs ensures the bank account gets a healthy work out. It is as well it is a trek for us, otherwise we would almost live there. I use the books we have from the constantly. Praise God for this place.
